Shoes kicked off, I tried my hand at a couple of flat lays. But I wanted a different way to tell their story and decided on a head shot of Kolache Shoppe co-owner, Lucy Hines.

I set the stage with Lucy holding a batch of freshly baked sweet kolaches. It was hard to keep the camera steady because the kolaches smelled so good! Getting the shot that tells the story! Best Kolache: Kolache Shoppe A foodstuff as Texan as the breakfast taco or pecan pie, the humble, yeasty kolache has been a Lone Star staple for centuries, from the classic fruit-filled pastries to the often meaty-and-cheesy Tex-Czech evolution most of us associate the name with these days. They know their beignets pronounced benyays and love how we make them here at Shipley Do-Nuts. To complement your delicious Shipley donuts , kolaches, and beignets, or other menu items, you can also enjoy a freshly brewed cup of decaf coffee.

If you want to stay stimulated a little longer tonight, order one of our coffeehouse beverages made from real espresso. Our Houston donut shop drive-thru is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
